Randall Diggs

Randall “Randy” Kent Diggs, 63, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formally of Butler, PA, died Saturday, May 30, 2020 at his home. Randy was born April 14, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Vaughn and Norma Jean Diggs.

He is survived by his husband, John “JB” Lydon, and their fur-babies, Spanky, Darla, Ms. Frances, Polar Bear, Jersey and Spankette.

Randy graduated Butler Area High School in 1975. He was a member of BFLA and VoTech. Randy worked as a florist and was a member of Lorraine Chapter Order Demolay where he served as Master Counselor in 1976, Chapter Advisor 1997-2004, and President in 2008. He received the award of Representative Chevalier and Advisor Cross of Honor. Randy was also a member of: Grove City Lodge 60603, Knights Templar of Mt. Calvary Comradery 67, Misqueda Chapter Order of the Eastern Star 421, Good Samaritan Chapter, Order of Jerusalem White Shrine, Mt. Royal Arch Chapter 212, Sharron Counselor 48 Royal, and Select Master Masons.  He was also a member of St. Ann Episcopal Church Prime Timers of Myrtle Beach.

Randy was an avid gardener and loved to cook. Randy enjoyed shopping, antiquing, and collectables. He liked to entertain friends and family. Randy loved spending time on the beach. He cared deeply for his six fur babies and considered them his children.

An informal celebration of Randy’s life will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the 29th Ave. South, Ocean Blvd beach access. All are welcome to attend.

A formal celebration of Randy’s life will be held at a later date.
