Rita Adale Adkins Frost, born July 1, 1949 in Kingsport, TN.  Rita went to her heavenly home on September 13, 2025 in Murrells Inlet, SC.

Rita loved sewing, Reading, boating and traveling with her grandchildren.

Rita was an honor graduate of Boones Creek High School in Gray, TN.  She continued her education where she graduated with honors from East Tennessee State University in 1970 and was a member of the Alumni Association.  She worked in Medical Technology Research for many years and later taught at Queens College in Charlotte, NC, as well as Anderson Institute of Technology in Anderson, SC.  While living in Kingsport, she was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher Organization.  She was also a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church in Kingsport, TN.

Rita was loved by her family.  She had three children who she loved and enjoyed; Jeffery Frost, Jennifer Frost Tergeoglou and Timmy Tergeoglou, and Michael Frost.  Her grandchildren are; Jessica Frost and Ronny Garber, Hayley Frost, Katarina Tergeoglou, Spencer Tergeoglou, Zackary Tergeoglou, Lela Frost, and Will Frost.  There are four great-grandchildren, Bailee, Olivia, Hannah and Rory and her loving extended family, The Presley Family.  She is also survived by her special sister and best friend, Martha Eolise Welch.   Rita had many cousins who were not only family but her best friends.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Gary Frost and her parents, Fred and Eula Price Adkins.

A memorial service for Rita will be held at the First Broad Street United Methodist Church, Kingsport, TN on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 4:00 PM with a reception to follow at 5:00 PM at the church.
