Robert William Baumgardner, Jr., 62, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 4, 2026 at his home in Surfside Beach, SC. Born on March 12, 1964, he was the son of Robert Sr.  and Judy (Bilheimer) Baumgardner of Lewistown, PA, his hometown.

Robert is survived by his wife, Debra; his father, Robert Sr.; his children and stepchildren and their spouses, including Taylor, Paige, Faith, Derek, Jennifer, Matthew, and Justin; his grandchildren; and his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Rose. He will be dearly missed by his many family and friends, including Harry, Gonzo, and Mike.

Robert honorably served his country with two tours as a Specialist in the US Army, where he was stationed in Germany. He later worked for many years as a Sales Representative for Pepsi, bringing a strong work ethic and penchant for customer service.

Robert, who had deep faith in God, was a kind and loving man who enjoyed hunting, cooking, and camping. He enjoyed playing baseball in the Army and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. But most of all, he loved relaxing at his beach home with his beloved Debra and his cherished dog, Micah.

A celebration of Robert’s life will held at a later date and different location. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations in Robert’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.
