Robert Charles Taylor, 82, of Myrtle Beach, SC, affectionally known as Charles, passed away on August 17, 2025. Born in Lumberton, NC, he was the son of the late Donald C. Taylor and Ruth Davis Taylor.
Charles enjoyed being outdoors. He would often spend his past time by wood working, fishing, and farming. He loved his family and attending his church. He was a member of the River of Life Baptist Church in Sunset Beach, NC where he served as deacon. He also attended Gathering Community Church in Myrtle Beach, SC. Charles was a proud Vietnam Veteran serving his country from 1966-1968. He retired from Pioneer Hi-Bred International in Maxton, NC where he was a plant manager.
In addition to his parents, Charles is reunited with his first wife, Elizabeth Taylor; daughter, Amanda Taylor; stepdaughter, Debbie Thomas; sister, Carolyn Taylor Allen; brother, George F. Taylor and Troy L. Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Carolene Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughter, Brittany Heil (Ryan), of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Donald C. Taylor Jr.; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Taylor; and great-grandson, Landen Heil. Robert also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
