Robert L. Vatcher Obituary

Robert "Bob" L. Vatcher, 76, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family. Born on September 21, 1948, in Woburn, Massachusetts, Bob graduated from Stoneham High School. He answered the call to serve his country, deploying to Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 with the United States Air Force. Shortly after his military service, Bob embarked on a long and successful career in medical sales, retiring in 2006. He spent his retirement years in Little River, South Carolina.

Bob is survived by his wife, Cynthia, and his children: Christine Landqvist (Chris) of Weston, FL, Caitlin Rought (Andrew) of Seymour, MO, and Nicholas Vatcher (Hollie) of Little River, SC. He has four grandchildren: Oliver, Oskar, Skylar, and Hunter. He is also survived by his sister Joanne Pendleton (Ben) of Tewksbury, MA. He is preceded in death by his parents, H. Frances and Warren Vatcher, and his brothers, Stephen and Leigh Vatcher.

Above all, Bob cherished being a father. He was known for his tremendous generosity, loyalty, and tenacity. Coupled with his lightning-quick wit, his words could effortlessly inspire and make you laugh until you cried—all in the same breath. Bob was passionate about golf and taught each of his children how to play, despite many lost golf balls and golf cart mishaps (sorry, Dad). He was a friend to many and will be deeply missed. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, who are committed to living authentic lives filled with laughter, joy, and gratitude in his honor.

Cremation Services Direct (843-651-1194) is serving the family.
