Sammy was born December 7, 1967, in Myrtle Beach, a son of Jack and Dottie Lee Watkins.

Surviving is his daughter: Ashley Morse; Siblings: Teresa Pittman, Pamela Brown, Meloine Tharpe, and Paul Watkins.
