Samuel "Sammy" David Horner Obituary

Samuel “Sammy” David Horner, 74, passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 26, 2024. Born in Millville, NJ, he was the son of Samuel F. Horner and Jane (Broadwater) Cooley.


Sammy’s hobbies included carpentry, singing, sound engineering, writing, Bible studies, stage acting, set design, and teaching. He was a member of Celebrate Recovery.


In addition to his parents, Sammy was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl DeChristopher; daughter, Rebecca A. Webb (Horner); and his aunt, Marylou Broadwater-Hannah.


He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Horner; daughters, Michelle Zielinski (Horner) and her husband Peter Zieleinski, Elizabeth J. Cain (Horner) and her husband Rev. Christopher Cain, Deborah Sims (Horner) and her husband RaVaughn F. Sims; son, Michael C. Horner and his wife Roxie Horner;  Son-in-law, John A. Webb; step-son, Dallas; grandchildren, Katelyn Webb, Faith Webb, Linda Webb, Nicholas Menard, Genesis Letizia-Kiyoto, Nia Arroyo, Christopher Stoddard, Angela (Stoddard) Nickerson, Jonathon Stoddard, Nehemiah Sims, Carter Sims, Kendall Sims, Naomi Sims, Natalie Sims, and Bruce M. Horner. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren; Ryan and Cole Gaskill.


A private service will be held with family in New Jersey at a later date.
