Sharon Marie (Hammond) Belden of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly from Mt.
Tabor, NJ, passed away on Tuesday May 9, 2023 at home from an illness.
She was born June 6,1972 in Denville, NJ.
Sharon is survived by Lance MacMillan, her partner of Myrtle Beach,
mother Patricia Hammond of Myrtle Beach and partner Brian Wolfinger,
sister Donna Hammond from Sparta, NJ, niece Olivia DelGrosso and
nephew Gavin DelGrosso from Sparta. NJ. Her aunts, Roberta
Kugelmeyer and husband Charlie from Port Murray, NJ, Valerie Lentz of
Conway, SC, and Margarete Peterson from Brevard, NC. Father, Bernard
Hammond preceded her on May 12, 2012 as did grandparents on both
sides.
Sharon started her career in a small auto shop and gained great
experience. She then worked at several businesses until her last at Quest
Diagnostic in NJ in Human Resources. While working there she went to St.
Elizabeth College in Madison NJ and received her Bachelors in Human
Resources. When her father passed away in 2012, it gave her the desire
and passion to become a nurse, and a good one at that. Sharon moved
with her mother to Myrtle Beach in the spring of 2018. She loved it here,
especially the weather, no more shoveling snow and driving in horrible
weather. Being a nurse, she was always on call. Sharon worked at
Morristown Memorial Hospital in NJ. and Grand Strand Regional Hospital in
Myrtle Beach. Her last employment was with Coastal Cancer Center of
Myrtle Beach which became her home where she met so many fabulous
friends that helped her through her illness.
Sharon loved going to Pawley’s Island for sunsets and maybe one or two
sunrises and walks on the beach looking for shells with Lance. She
became quite knowledgeable on the shells she found. She enjoyed being
a nurse and helping people with her compassion and love which made her
an exceptional nurse. Sharon just started painting with water colors, and
she would have been wonderful at it. Her father’s mother had so much
talent in painting.
Sharon will always be remembered for her loving heart and giving
nature.>>She was known for her kind spirit and genuine love for her family
and friends.>>Her gentle presence and warm smile will deeply be missed by
all those who knew her.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the future.
