Along with her parents Shelby was preceded in death by brothers David Hahn and Robet Hahn both of Pennsylvania.

Shelby Hahn Fleagle was born on December 12, 1937 at home in Waynesboro, PA to Wilbur and Mary Hahn.  She was the second child of four children that Wilbur and Mary had.  There was David Hahn her older brother and her two younger siblings Patsy Favorite and Robert Hahn.  Shelby started Waynesboro Elementary School and graduated from Waynesboro High School.  She worked at a restaurant but loved roller skating which is how she met the love of her life.  One afternoon she and her sister Patsy were walking home from the roller-skating when Richard and his best friend saw them.  The boys picked the girls up and they ended up riding around for hours.  Five months later Shelby and Richard were married and remained married for 70 years.  They got their beautiful daughter Raquel 14 years after they were married.  Shelby had many talents that started off in the Stanley Company where she sewed the lining by hand into men jackets in Chambersburg.  Then she became a hair dresser and worked from home.  Then she went to work for the PA State Police as a Police Communications Operator until she retired in 1999.  After retiring from the PA State Police, Shelby, Richard, and Raquel moved to Myrtle Beach, SC, where she became known for her baking and cake decorating talent.  Shelby also spent her life as a wonderful mother and role model to her daughter Raquel and sharing her love to everyone she came in contact with, which caused her and Richard to have an extended family with four grandchildren.  After becoming a grandmother to her extended family, she spoiled the grandchildren as much as possible.

Shelby enjoyed baking cakes and cookies, crocheting, making crafts, needle point, bowling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

There will be a very small private service the first week of August in Pennsylvania, as per Shelby’s request.
