Shirley “Lyda” B. Vereen, age 84 of Little River, SC passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born September 22, 1937, in Aynor, SC, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Sally Phillips. Ms. Vereen was a retired office manager from North Myrtle Beach Family Practice. One of her favorite past times to do was go “to the movies”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis D. Vereen and a sister, Linda Hyatt and two brothers, Paul Phillips, and R.D. Phillips.

Surviving are her children, Louise Braddy Keating and husband, Richard, Shirley Faye Krunich, Jeff Vereen, Sheila Vereen Green and husband Clayton, Rhett Vereen and wife Trace and Ben Vereen; grandchildren, Rebecca Keating Flynn, Matthew Keating, Bryan Keating, Ian Keating, Adam Krunich, Brianna Krunich, Ashely Hurley, Michelle Porter, Brittney Anderson and Cassie Mincey and great grandchildren, Michael Likes, Austin Porter, Clayton Porter, Peter Flynn, Jr., Carolina Lafayette Seabrook Flynn, Desmond Vereen Flynn, Sarah Anderson, Josie Anderson, Olivia Mincey and Hyatt Mincey.
