Susan Duncan Gerald, 76, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on December 25, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

 

Born on December 18, 1948, in Marion, South Carolina, Susan was the daughter of the late Oliver and Clara Duncan of Loris, South Carolina. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who retired from United Insurance Company ten years before her passing.

 

Susan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eldred Gerald. Together, they made their home in Little River, where they shared many years of companionship and care.

 

She is survived by her devoted son, Christopher Gerald, also of Little River. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Nicole Gerald.

 

Susan will be remembered for her strength, grace, and enduring spirit throughout her illness. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
