Suzanne Randall Obituary

Suzanne Adele Randall (Johnson) passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home in Myrtle Beach, SC on March 28, 2024. Sue was born on January 30, 1951, in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Having strong political views, we think she wanted to duck out before the upcoming presidential election.

She is predeceased by her parents Mildred Orr ( Leach) Johnson and Adelard Joseph Johnson.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Bruce Randall Sr. of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Suzanne is also survived by her children Gloriann Paquette and her husband Christopher of Attleboro, MA, J.B. Randall and his wife Mandy of Chaska, MN, as well as her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Additionally, Suzanne leaves behind nine siblings, proof that people had to stay entertained in the 50’s without electronics. Robert Johnson (Kathy), Mark Johnson (Malorie), Lyle White (Dennis), Gretchen Perry (Peter), Neil Johnson (Janet), Todd Johnson, Eric Johnson (Beverly), Christopher Johnson ( Lisa)  and Nicole Jillson (Christopher). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sue was a giver! No matter the situation she always took care of everyone around her before giving any time to herself. Proof of this were the countless hours she dedicated herself volunteering at a women’s shelter back in Massachusetts. Most will say this was much easier work than waiting on her husband hand and foot for more than 50 years!

Playing in a retired nurse’s golf league at Pine Valley golf course, Sue was the first woman there or anywhere to our knowledge, to record a “hole in two”. Which in the golfing world is a hole in one after swinging and missing on the first attempt. Man! What a tough crowd to not even offer up a mulligan as her group put her down for an official “2”.

Sue was a wiz in the kitchen. She could put Guy Fieri to shame. Never reading a recipe or writing anything down, whatever she made had everyone going back for more. Her mafia meatball recipe is one we all wish she didn’t take to the grave.

Sue was the ultimate dumpster diver, the Jacques Cousteau of yard sales, and a flea market extraordinaire. She was always looking for the next antique piece to turn a profit on. We are guessing all that profit went to Foxwoods Resort and Casino, or it’s buried in coffee cans somewhere because we have never seen any of it.

Sue was world-renowned for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. She floats up towards the clouds with a perfect record of never losing an argument. Those close to her were very aware of Sue-isms. Which were usually how she ended a conversation leaving you puzzled, as it made no sense or had any relevance to what was actually discussed.

In her younger years she enjoyed camping with her family, time in the White Mountains and lakes in New Hampshire and Maine, tennis, and golfing with friends.

Sue will be sorely missed for her unwavering unconditional love, her spirit, toughness, loyalty, oh… and back tickles.
