Terry (Delong) Conrad passed away on September 1st in her home in Myrtle Beach, SC following an 8-year battle with cancer. Terry was born February 19, 1955 in City Hospital, East Liverpool, Ohio to Cramer and Minnie DeLong who resided in Newell, WVa at the time. She grew up in the northern panhandle and attended school at Jefferson School and later Oak Glen High School. She attended one year at Mount Vernon Nazarene College in Mount Vernon, Ohio where she met her future husband, David Conrad. She worked at Homer Laughlin China Co. and Sterling China Co. and Hall China Co. during her career. Terry became the Bride of David Conrad on June 11, 1976 at the Nazarene Church in New Manchester, WV with Reverend Drexel Baker presiding.
Terry was involved in Bible Quizzing in her teen years and later was co-leader of the Children's Bible Quiz team at First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool, Ohio where Terry was a member and attended regularly for about 30 years. Recently Terry had attended The Connection Church of the Nazarene in Myrtle Beach where she made many wonderful new friends.
Terry was an avid reader since childhood having read thousands of books. Her most recent favorite genre is Speculative Christian Fiction. She wrote many reviews for new books and became friends with several of her favorite authors. Terry was pre-deceased by her Father: Cramer DeLong of Chester, WV. And Sister: Tina Henthorne(Bill) of Akron, OH.
Terry is survived by her Mother: Minnie DeLong of East Liverpool, OH., Husband: David Conrad of Myrtle Beach, SC., Sister: Carolyn Hardy of East Liverpool, OH., Niece: Christina Fisher(Bill) of East Liverpool, OH, Nephew: Matthew Hardy of Akron, OH., and Great-Nephew: Noah Fisher.
Terry requested no viewing and no services in her memory, but wanted only to be remembered by her family, friends and acquaintances as a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.
