Theodore Alexis “Ted” Martin, Jr., age 47, passed away Thursday, July 2, at Waccamaw Tidelands Hospital.
Ted was born December 17, 1978 and was the son of the late Theodore Alexis “Ted” Martin, Sr. and the late Helen Odiorne Marton. He was a 1997 graduate of Cambridge Academy in Greenwood, SC and attended Coastal Carolina University.
Surviving are his loving children, a daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Martin, of Surfside Beach, and his son, Theodore Alexia “Trey” Martin III, of Fort Polk Louisiana, his sister, Virginia Edwards (Nick), nieces, Savannah and Haleigh, and nephew, Bennett, along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar Alexis “Pepper” and Marie Martin, Richard and Helen Odiorne and great aunts, Montie Reece and Virginia Hammond.
