Thresea “Tree” Duncan 71, of Pawleys Island, passed away in her home Sunday October 10, 2021 surrounded by her closest family.
She was born on Valentine’s Day 1950 in Lake City, Tennessee to Tester and Elsie Duncan, the third of five children. She was preceded in death by both parents, brother Gerald “Sonny” Duncan of Mason, Ohio and Wanda Duncan of Colorado Springs, Co.
Her youngest siblings, Terry Duncan and Jeanette Duncan, still reside in Rocky Top, Tennessee. She had one daughter, Billie Sikorski, son in law Eric Sikorski of Pawleys Island. Two Grandchildren, Dylan Sharp & fiancé Taylor Castineria of Myrtle Beach and Erica Sikorski of Pawleys Island. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss her wit and wisdom.
She received an associate’s degree from Pellissippi State Community College in art in 2010 and graduated from Garfield High School 1968, in Hamilton, Ohio where she grew up. She was a talented artist, loved music, her beloved cat Picasso, studying her Cherokee heritage, nature and was a confidant to all who knew her. She never lost her sense of humor as the brief illness took her, often making caregivers chuckle when the news was bad.
The family would like to express heart felt thanks to her lifelong friend Cindi Pyles, caregiver Wanda Hughes, Regency Hospice, and the staff of Waccamaw Hospital for the care and compassion they provided our loved one.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Faith Memorial Episcopal Church in Pawleys Island on Saturday October 23rd at 2:00pm, Father Will Keith Officiating.
