It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Vincent Martinez Soto Jr., 78, of Myrtle Beach, SC.  He peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on March 1, 2025.  Born on August 27, 1946, in Big Springs, Texas, Vincent spent his formative years in California, where he met and married the love of his life, Lyn. Together, they moved to South Carolina to be closer to her family, eventually settling in Myrtle Beach.

Vincent was a man of great faith, love, and dedication.  He found joy in serving others, whether through church activities, mission trips, or Bible study groups.  A devoted member of Grand Strand Community Church, he lived a life grounded in his love for God and his family.  He was also known for his generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Vincent valued time with his family and friends, as well as working in the community.  Whether it was building, panting, or working on projects around the house, he did it all with great passion. He greatly enjoyed tennis, golf, and billiards.  Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his beloved wife, Lyn.  His deep affection for his family and his faith will be his lasting legacy.

Vincent is survived by his loving wife, Lyn Soto of South Carolina; his sons, Vincent Soto (GA) and Andy Chavez (NV); his daughters, Mollie Soto (SC), Elizabeth Estavillo (CA), Yvette Soto (CA) and Yvonne Chavez (CA); many wonderful grandchildren across SC, CA, and TX; and his siblings, Stephen Soto and Femmia Soto of Texas, as well as Victor Soto and Lillie Soto of California. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Josephine Soto, and his brother, Paul Soto, leaving behind a legacy of love and service.

A celebration of Vincent's life will be held at Grand Strand Community Church on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 4pm, with a Visitation prior to the service at 3pm.  The church is located at 3820 Holmestown Rd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.  There will be a meal to follow the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church.  All are welcome to join honoring this beloved man who touched so many lives with kindness and faith.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Aubrey Phipps, Alan McKenzie, the members and staff of Grand Strand Community Church, and the ICU staff at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital for their care and support during this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to Grand Strand Community Church and continued support as they cherish the memory of a husband, father, and friend who lived a life of love, service, and devotion.
