Wanda Levine of Myrtle Beach passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023 at the Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, SC after a long illness. She was born in Gdynia, Poland in July 1939. When she was one month old the war broke out. Her parents were able to flee to Sweden with her where she spent the next 6 years living in Mariefred and Stockholm before immigrating to the United States where she was granted her citizenship in 1958. Wanda grew up in Portland, Oregon and attended the University of Oregon.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Bronislaw and Louise Horodyski, her first husband, Leonard McKee, Jr. and her second husband, Lawrence Levine. She is also preceded in death by her first son, Scott McKee. Wanda is survived by her children, Sharon Guth (Chris) of Clarion, Pennsylvania, Mark McKee (Kelly) of Knoxville, Tennessee and Dan McKee (Traci) of Louisville, Tennessee. Wanda is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Eric, Ben and Allison Guth, Jamie and Kyle McKee, Thomas and Abby McKee and Amelia, Erin and Jack McKee. She is also survived by her brother, Andrew Sadowski of Salem, Oregon and many other family and friends.
Wanda loved to travel and attend social gatherings with her many friends. She was an avid reader, golfer and enjoyed many other hobbies. She was a realtor for many years in each area she lived and enjoyed volunteering at many civic organizations. Wanda was a long-time member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Murrells Inlet, SC where she will be interned. A mass will be held in her honor at St. Michael’s at 8:00am on October 28th.
