Wayne Alan Warren Obituary

Wayne A. Warren, a devoted husband, beloved father, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, at the age of 77.

Born on September 10, 1947, in El Dorado, Arkansas, Wayne's life was one marked by deep devotion to his family and community. He met the love of his life, Judith Ann Outler, in junior high school.  They attended Glynn Academy together in Brunswick, Georgia, where they both graduated in 1966. The two were married in August 1969 and shared nearly 56 beautiful years together—a testament to their enduring love and partnership.

Wayne pursued higher education at North Georgia College (now the University of North Georgia), where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1973 and proudly participated in ROTC. Shortly after graduation, Wayne and Judith moved to northern Illinois, where he began a long and distinguished career with United Airlines. His dedication and hard work spanned 42 years, culminating in his retirement in 2015.

Following retirement, Wayne and Judith made their home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Wayne was known for his generous spirit, strong sense of duty, and passion for teaching others. An avid sportsman and safety advocate, Wayne took great pride in helping individuals enhance their personal safety and awareness. He shared his knowledge freely and always with patience and care.

A man of faith, Wayne was an active member of Pawley’s Island Community Church. When the church formed its Life Safety Team Ministry in 2016, Wayne was entrusted as a leader for this ministry. His leadership, expertise, and heartfelt service left a lasting impact on the congregation and community.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Jacqueline Warren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith; their three children: daughter JJ Snyder (Mike), and sons Wayne “Mac” Warren II (Anna) and Hunter Warren (Emily); grandchildren Blythe Mayan (Danel), Blaire Justen, Zach Roberts, Hannah Wible, Annelyse Warren, Leah Warren, Addelyn Warren, Amelya Warren, and Liam McFarland; and great-grandchildren, Elii Roberts, Molly Mayan and Bentley Roberts.

He is also survived by his brother, Mark Warren (Rita); cousins John H. Warren (Rhonda) and Richard Warren (Jenene); several nephews and one niece.

Wayne’s legacy lives on through his family, his service, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in support of cancer research.
