William Arthur Pierce, 73, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025. Born in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late William Franklin Pierce and Madge Ivalene Adkins Pierce Brobst.
William enjoyed fishing, camping, working in the yard, and on projects in the house. He was a former member of Moose Lodge of Surfside Beach and held many offices including, Govenor. He was also a former member of the Elks. William held many jobs, including being a COTA bus driver, owner of Pierce Janitorial Service, Carpet Carryout Floor Covering, and Georgetown Sherriff Department.
In addition to his parents, William was proceeded in death by his brother, John Wayne Brobst.
He was loved by his wife of 37 years, Marsha Birt Pierce; son, William Arthur Pierce Jr. and his wife Lynn; grandsons, Travis and Evan; granddaughters, Taylor and Emily, all of Pawleys Island; daughter, Jennifer Brooke Alexander of Columbus, OH; brother, George Brobst Jr and his wife Tamara of Port Charlotte, FL; and his sister, Debra Evans and her husband John, of Grove City, OH.
There will be a Celebration of life held at the couple’s home, 541 Affinity Dr MB on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 2-4.
